Bull City Bicycles Exhibit - March 7 - 28

Street Cycling Course - Know someone who is nervous about road bicycling? Do you think they would feel better about it if they felt more comfortable in traffic? Well, the Street Cycling course can help them learn how to worry less and enjoy road cycling more. During the course participants will learn how to travel more safely and confidently in traffic, improve their bike handling skills and learn to fix flat tires and other minor repairs.
Location: Middle Creek Community Center, Cary
Saturdays, Apr 12, 19 & 26, 1-4 p.m. (3 classes)
Fees: $30 (Cary Resident), $39 (Non-resident)

Join us on May 3, 2008 as AIDSWALK and RIDE sets off from the Halifax Mall in Raleigh. We will go the distance with a one mile and a three mile walk route and 30-mile, 60-mile, and 101.5 mile bike routes.

This is a ride that Mountain Valley Hospice has been putting on since 2000. The proceeds from this ride help hospice to care for terminally ill patients and their families. Riders can register online!

It's time again to register for Bike Virginia - a wonderful 5 day ride (June 20 - 25) through scenic Virginia. There is a discount ($20 per person) for groups of 8 people that send in their registrations together. I am collecting registrations and will send them in as I receive groups of 8.

The third annual Bicycling and Barbeque cycling event will be on Saturday, July 12, 2008 at 9:30 a.m. in Galax, Virginia. Our ride is quickly growing in popularity and we are asking are once again asking for your help in promoting Bicycling and Barbeque. We are the greatest fundraiser for the Free Clinic of the Twin Counties and all of our proceeds go directly to them. Information is available at www.galaxoutdoors.com.

With the weather warming up and the holiday pounds adding up, now is a great time to get out and ride. TLC has released this year’s Ride for the Land routes and now we need your input. Continuing TLC’s mission to make this year’s ride the best yet, we are asking those of you who have previously participated in Ride for the Land to test out the routes and provide some feedback.
